Veteran of Colgate-Palmolive, Burt's Bees and Benckiser Takes Reins As Agaia's Green Cleaning Products Launch in 2,000 Walmart Stores Nationwide
NEW YORK, Nov. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Douglas Meyer, a 40-year consumer packaged goods veteran, has been named CEO of Agaia Home, the consumer arm of Agaia, Inc., the Fort Lauderdale-based manufacturer of highly efficacious green cleaning products. Meyer previously was CEO of Burt's Bees, the world's largest natural personal products company and before that was Vice President and General Manager at Colgate-Palmolive and President of North America and Regional Manager of the Americas at Benckiser.
Meyer joins Agaia Home, a wholly owned subsidiary and the consumer arm of Agaia, Inc., to lead the global expansion of Agaia's home care products powered by the patented Evolve technology, made entirely from sustainable, plant-based ingredients free of phosphates, chlorine and petrochemicals. Earlier this month, Walmart announced that it has launched Agaia's new line of green cleaners with Evolve technology in 2,000 stores nationwide and through Walmart.com under Walmart's private label Great Value Natural brand.
